Nikki Horner is a qualified Pilates Teacher, a Level 3 REPs (Register of Exercise Professionals) and a passionate advocate for the benefits and joy of the Pilates Method. Her motivation to become a teacher was inspired by her personal experience of Pilates helping her to manage chronic back and joint pain caused by a debilitating inflammatory condition.
Nikki qualified in 2004 with Body Control Pilates (BCP), one of the most well-known organisations in the UK for the training and accreditation of Pilates teachers. Starting with Basic and Intermediate Matwork, Nikki went on to train further in Classical Matwork, Reformer, Cadillac and the Wunda chair both with Contrology Pilates Method, (now Spatial Medicine) and Body Control Pilates.
In 2015 Nikki completed the Buff Bones Licensing course in the Bone Health Exercise System and set up Bone Health classes, specifically tailored for those with osteoporosis and osteopenia. She has also undertaken training to enable her to deliver classes for other health conditions including Pilates for neurological conditions (especially MS, Parkinsons and Stroke) and Pilates for Lower Back Pain.
Nikki’s expertise has made her a popular teacher for clients with specific health conditions, injuries or chronic pain as well as those who simply want to improve their general strength, posture and health.
“Nikki is an excellent tutor, full of good humour and with a capacity to help you understand why doing certain movements in certain ways is important. Lovely new studio in a characterful area of the city and with easy parking.”
Gintas Barzdaitis
Gintas Barzdaitis has been teaching Pilates since 2011 years and qualified with Body Control Pilates in matwork and Reformer.
He teaches private sessions, Reformer classes (up to 3 people) and mat classes.
